Privacy notice

SpaceMatters stores account, listing, enquiry, message, and operational booking records needed to run the beta marketplace. Exact private addresses and private booking evidence are kept out of public listing pages.

When a signed-in user shares a listing from SpaceMatters, we create a first-party attributed link and record clicks on that link so we can understand which SpaceMatters-initiated shares lead to enquiries. We store the listing, the logged-in sharer, the share channel, referral page, user agent, and timestamp.

We do not store full IP addresses, do not use third-party tracking cookies, and only classify known social preview user agents separately from human clicks.

A first-party, listing-path-scoped attribution cookie named sm_share_click_id keeps the first listing-specific touch for up to 30 days. A short-lived, listing-path-scoped pending-click cookie may be used during the share redirect so the click identifier is not exposed in the page URL and the redirect is not double-counted as organic.

An attributed share click can connect a later same-listing enquiry, while an organic first-touch marker prevents later share over-attribution. Share attribution is internal product analytics and is not shown as host-facing performance analytics in this beta round.
